Manchester City manager Enzo Mareska has spoken out about the Premier League title race, assessing his side's chances against Arsenal. The Italian coach emphasised that their recent setback in the Community Shield does not reflect the true strength of his squad.
The City boss urged calm and highlighted the quality within his team:
We have a very good team, and one match does not define us or show who we really are. Just because Arsenal won the Community Shield doesn’t mean they are the best. We simply had an off game against them, and I genuinely believe we are capable of winning much more regularly if we come together and play as one unit.
We just need to make some slight adjustments, and I believe the team will be fully ready for the fight. We have quality players necessary to compete at the highest level, and I am confident we can achieve our goals.
