Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised the pivotal role played by his defenders in their 2-0 victory over Everton, with Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Ndiaye finding the back of the net.
In his post-match comments, Arteta singled out each of the standout players, commending their leadership qualities and performances:
On Ezri Konsa: “His personality, his aura – there’s something about him that allows him to connect instantly with the club, the team, the staff and deliver such performances. He’s been outstanding in every match due to his ability to lead, his composure under pressure, and he's built a solid partnership with Gabriel.”
On Gabriel Ndiaye: “Gabriel was incredible. I think the incident that led to a possible injury, and then the way he overcame it with his determination to fight back and score, is a perfect illustration of what kind of player and leader he is at this club.”
On Ben White: “Ben is in really good form right now; he’s matured significantly compared to the Ben we knew a few years ago. It’s a massive transformation on all levels, and we're fortunate to have him.”
