Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Michael Cetterer is poised to complete his move to Leeds United after the two clubs agreed on transfer terms.
According to Sky Sports, the Yorkshire club will pay around €5 million for the 31-year-old German shot-stopper. Cetterer has given his verbal agreement and is expected to sign a long-term contract that will keep him at Elland Road until the summer of 2029.
The German keeper will undergo a mandatory medical examination in Leeds on Friday, after which the transfer will be officially confirmed.
Cetterer is expected to provide seasoned competition to the club's number one, James Trafford. The move became possible following the departure of Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Perri, who has made the switch to Italian side Torino in search of a new challenge. For Cetterer, this transfer marks an exciting new chapter as he makes his debut in English football.
