Michael Carrick stated that Manchester United's issues are not linked to a lack of summer support in the transfer market, urging the team to rectify their on-field performances.

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has dismissed suggestions that the club's current difficulties stem from a lack of support during the summer transfer window, stating that players and staff must take responsibility for results on the pitch.

The Red Devils' boss addressed this topic ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth at Old Trafford, with pressure mounting following a string of poor performances. When asked if anyone at the club had acknowledged that more serious reinforcements over the summer could have helped, Carrick replied:

No, it's not about that. It's not about getting more support. It's about doing what's right on the football pitch to achieve good results, and we haven't been doing that enough lately.

Carrick recognised that a variety of factors have contributed to the team's recent failures, but he emphasised that the immediate priority is to rectify the situation during matches:

There are many different elements, some less than others, that lead to us not winning as many games as we should. So I’m very clear on that.
