Manchester United suffered a shocking defeat to Brighton, ending 2-3 in the EFL Cup, despite leading the match 2-0.
The hosts raced ahead early on, with goals from Shi Lacey in the 8th minute and Mason Mount just two minutes later.
However, Brighton staged a remarkable comeback, with Charalampos Kostoulas scoring just before half-time (45+1), followed by Pascal Gross (65) and Maxim De Kuyper (69) finding the net to seal a stunning victory.
According to Opta, this marked the first time in 50 years that United lost at Old Trafford after being two goals up, recalling a similar fate against Tottenham back in September 1976, when they also fell to a 2-3 defeat on home soil.
To compound matters, this was not the first home loss for the Red Devils this season, having previously been narrowly defeated by Manchester City 0-1 in the Premier League.
