Luton Town's chief scout, Mick Harford, has disclosed that Jack Wilshere, the team's manager, has repeatedly asked Mikel Arteta to consider loaning out wonderkid Max Dauman.
However, Arsenal have firmly rejected any suggestions of a loan move for their young standout.
“I think Jack has asked him a few times, but I don't believe he will go out on loan,” Harford commented.
Dauman has previously shone under Wilshere’s guidance in Arsenal's U18 setup, scoring two goals and providing seven assists in just 12 matches.
Harford has compared Dauman's rapid rise to the breakthrough experienced by Wilshere during his own young career.
“He looks like he’s going to be a superstar. I believe if you're ready, I don't care how old you are. If you're good enough, you'll play.”
This season, Dauman has already netted three goals in 14 appearances for Arsenal’s first team, including a brace against Ipswich Town in a 4-2 victory in the League Cup, as noted by Tribuna.com.
