Defender Tom Etcheson from Blackburn Rovers has caught the serious attention of several clubs in the Premier League.
According to TEAMtalk, as the transfer window drew to a close, Chelsea made a concerted effort to sign the 19-year-old defender. However, Blackburn's hierarchy firmly rejected their advances.
In a move to keep hold of their promising talent, the club opted to secure Etcheson's future with a new contract.
Aside from Chelsea, both Liverpool and Manchester City have also made official inquiries regarding the central defender, along with Newcastle, Sunderland, and Crystal Palace. All bids have met with a similar fate as Blackburn continued to turn them down.
Nevertheless, Liverpool and Manchester City remain keen observers of Etcheson's development.
Furthermore, scouts from Manchester United and Tottenham have also been reported to be keeping a close eye on the young talent.
Etcheson joined Blackburn Rovers in July 2025 and has since made two appearances, scoring once for the Northern Ireland national team.
His current market value is estimated at around 800,000 euros, according to Transfermarkt.
