15-Second Brief
Marc Gehy acknowledged that Manchester City lost out to PSG in one-on-one battles during the first half but rallied effectively after the break, offering hope for future matches.

Manchester City defender Marc Gehy acknowledged that his side's first-half display against PSG left much to be desired, resulting in a disappointing 4-2 defeat in the Champions League.

Gehy pointed out that the Parisians were more aggressive in challenges, which allowed them to score the opening goals.

“We should have played much better in the first half. I made some mistakes leading up to the first two goals. PSG were more aggressive and won many one-on-one duels, which created opportunities for them to score,”

he noted.

However, the second half saw a transformation in City's approach. They became more combative, winning more challenges and netting two goals.

“The second half was completely different. We became much more aggressive, won more duels, and created chances to score ourselves,”

explained Gehy.

The defender also expressed gratitude to the fans who continued their unwavering support, even during tough moments in the match.

“The first half wasn’t our best, but there were many positives in the second half. This reflects not only on the players but on the club as a whole. Our supporters backed us throughout the match, and that support was incredible.

Everyone knew that if we kept fighting, chances would come. The tournament is just starting. I hope we learn from this defeat and deliver better performances in our upcoming matches,”

Gehy added.

Despite the 4-2 loss, Manchester City will aim to build on the positives from the second half as they look to improve in future Champions League fixtures.
