Fulham has agreed to sign Real Madrid midfielder Manuel Angel, becoming the third player from Madrid to join the Cottagers this summer in a reunion with head coach Alvaro Arbeloa.

London's Fulham are reportedly on the brink of signing promising midfielder Manuel Angel from Real Madrid. This news comes from Spanish publication Diario AS.

Earlier this summer, the Cottagers secured the signings of Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios. With Angel's arrival, he will become the third player from the Spanish giants to join the English club during this transfer window.

Angel has attracted interest from other clubs such as Cadiz and Almeria, but he appears to prefer reuniting with his former coach Alvaro Arbeloa, who is currently assembling a squad with a distinct Spanish flavour at Fulham. Initially, Arbeloa had his sights set on signing highly-rated Thiago Pitarcha, but Real Madrid's hierarchy firmly rejected any potential deal for the player.

Last season, the 22-year-old Angel made his first-team debut for Real under Arbeloa's management, featuring in seven matches across all competitions. In total, the Spanish midfielder boasts 85 appearances for the club's reserve team, Castilla.
