Christian Norgaard acknowledged that he took a calculated gamble when he transferred to Arsenal from Brentford for £10 million last summer. Despite featuring in only 20 matches during the Premier League championship season, he did not look back with regret as he has now signed with Everton.
At the Men In Blazers Live event, the 32-year-old midfielder defended his choice to step out of his comfort zone.
“I knew I would regret not making the move if I hadn’t. I was aware that my chances of playing were quite limited, but it was worth the risk. Playing in the Champions League for the first time and representing a big club... I look back on that season with joy and pride, albeit with a touch of disappointment as well,” said Norgaard.
Now, the midfielder is gearing up to make his debut for his new club, with expectations high for his performance when Everton face Crystal Palace in their upcoming match.
