Chelsea continued their flawless start to the 2026/27 Premier League campaign with a spectacular 4-3 win over Brighton at Stamford Bridge.
The match proved to be a goal fest filled with drama. Xabi Alonso's side stunned their opponents with a powerful opening, racing into a 3-0 lead within the first half-hour. Goals from Romeo Lavia, Pedro Neto, and Joao Pedro set the tone for an electrifying encounter.
However, Brighton fought back valiantly, and Malik Yalque reduced the deficit in the 35th minute. Just after the break, an unfortunate own goal from Joao Pedro brought the Seagulls within touching distance at 3-2.
But the decisive moment came from Chelsea's attacking leader, Cole Palmer, who coolly added the fourth for the Blues to restore their two-goal cushion at 4-2. Even though Brighton grabbed a late goal, it wasn’t enough to steal points from the hosts.
