Aston Villa, Lazio and Bayer are keeping a close eye on Tidiame Gomis, who has had a stellar start to the season with RB Leipzig. The French winger has already caught the attention of several European clubs, with his market value potentially approaching €20 million.
According to reports from Ekrem Konur, the interest in Gomis has surged following his impressive performances at the start of the 2026/27 season. The 20-year-old has secured a place in Leipzig's starting XI, contributing three assists in the first two official matches of the campaign.
Gomis notched up his first assist in the DFB-Pokal match against Eintracht Trier, before delivering two assists in a commanding 3-0 Bundesliga win over Borussia Monchengladbach. In his latest outing, he started the game and spent 63 minutes on the pitch.
👀Aston Villa are particularly interested in Gomis
Among the clubs monitoring Gomis, Aston Villa stands out. The English side had expressed interest in the winger even before his transfer from Caen to RB Leipzig in February 2025. At that time, he had been on the radar of Birmingham, but he eventually opted for the Bundesliga.
Now, Aston Villa is once again keeping tabs on Gomis's development. His pace, ability to take on defenders, and knack for creating chances down the flank make him a potentially suitable player for Unai Emery’s attacking philosophy.
Not to be overlooked, Lazio are also showing keen interest. The Italian side aims to freshen up their attacking options and sees Gomis as one of the players they should continue to monitor closely.
Bayer Leverkusen is also on the list. They are already familiar with Gomis's capabilities, having had an eye on him during his time at Caen. Now, they continue to track his progress in the Bundesliga.
💰RB Leipzig values Gomis at approximately €20 million
Despite the interest from multiple clubs, RB Leipzig has no plans to sell Gomis during the upcoming January transfer window.
The German club recognises the young Frenchman’s potential and wishes to continue his development within their system. Moreover, Gomis’s contract with Leipzig runs until June 30, 2029, which puts the club in a strong position for any potential negotiations.
Should concrete official interest emerge this winter, his price tag could be around €20 million, taking into account his progress and promise.
As it stands, no official offers have been made to RB Leipzig. The current focus is solely on scouting, match analysis, and monitoring the player’s development.
Aston Villa, Lazio, and Bayer continue to follow Gomis live and through video analysis. If he maintains his current level of performance in the first half of the season, we could see developments in January 2027.
