Fulham's head coach Alvaro Arbeloa has given insight into the atmosphere surrounding his squad after their narrow defeat against Crystal Palace. Following the match, both Alex Iwobi and Emil Smith Rowe took to social media to delete posts related to the club, hinting at their dissatisfaction.
Additionally, Iwobi shared a cryptic story that read:
I can't say, can't hear, can't see.
Despite this, Arbeloa expressed satisfaction with the team's reaction to the loss.
The Fulham manager stated:
I believe you learn more about a team after a defeat than a victory. This week, the players have been working with a very positive attitude.
When you're a player and not on the pitch, it's only natural to feel unhappy. I expect such emotions from players who aren't getting game time. I want them to show me their dissatisfaction during training. That, to me, is the most important thing.
I can see how hard they’re working. I genuinely think I've got an excellent squad with the right mentality.
