Wolfsburg was one of over a dozen clubs showing interest in 19-year-old left-back Harry Amass from Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
According to Laurie Whitwell from The Athletic, the German side was weighing up a move for the young Englishman. Sporting and Celtic also expressed interest, while several Championship clubs were keeping an eye on Amass.
Manchester United received offers for the player but ultimately decided to retain Amass at least until January, at which point his situation will be reassessed.
Earlier reports suggested that Burnley had put in a bid of around £3.5 million; however, this was turned down as United valued their academy product at approximately £6 million.
Amass joined the Manchester United academy in January 2025. The 19-year-old defender has also represented the England U19 team five times, and his contract with the club runs until June 2027.
