Chelsea and Manchester United have opened negotiations for the potential transfer of central defender Nathan from Real Betis.

According to reports from German outlet Fussball News, the two Premier League giants are keen on signing the 25-year-old Brazilian, who is valued at around €30 million. However, Betis are holding out for a fee of at least €40-45 million for their star defender.

Adding pressure to this transfer chase is Barcelona, who are also in the running for Nathan and are currently regarded as the frontrunners for his signature.

Nathan's current deal with Betis runs until the summer of 2030.
