Chelsea midfielder Morgan Rodgers commented on the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, emphasising that this is only the fourth match under Xabi Alonso and that the Blues will continue to work hard and improve.

Chelsea faced their first defeat under Xabi Alonso, falling 2-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates. Despite this setback, midfielder Morgan Rodgers believes the team remains focused and motivated.

The Englishman acknowledges that there is still much work to be done with their new head coach, but he is confident Chelsea will continue to improve.

“This is only our fourth game under him. We know there's a lot of hard work ahead. Even after three wins, we realised there’s more to do, so nothing has changed. We remain fully focused and look to push on,” Rodgers stated.

“We're putting in the hard yards on the training pitch, trying to better understand each other and how we want to play. We will get better. We know that will happen,” he added.

“We will regroup and continue having the same conversations about improving our game because we always want to progress and be better,” Rodgers concluded.
