Tottenham striker Richarlison has accused politician Flavio Bolsonaro of illegally seizing his private island in Brazil. The footballer claims to have lost around 10 million reais and has approached police for a thorough investigation.

Tottenham's Richarlison has claimed that senator Flavio Bolsonaro, who is in the race for the Brazilian presidency, has unlawfully seized his private island.

The striker purchased this property in the municipality of Angra dos Reis off the coast of Rio de Janeiro. Richarlison asserts that he has frequently received offers to buy it, including a direct proposal from Bolsonaro, which he consistently declined.

I didn't want to sell the island to him. After my refusal, these individuals took advantage of the situation in court. We were working on ownership documents, and were told this could take months or even years.

Flavio Bolsonaro and this man Weller Thomaz went in and took control of the island in just 24 hours. This is where the judicial system failed. To my knowledge, they seized the island without paying a penny. I’ve invested about 10 million reais into it and received nothing in return.

The player has requested authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the transfer of ownership and has called for clarity on the fate of his invested funds. Additionally, the Brazilian urged his social media followers to demand public explanations from the politician.
