Former England striker Peter Crouch has voiced his thoughts ahead of the highly anticipated match between Arsenal and Chelsea. Crouch predicts the Blues will emerge victorious with a scoreline of 3-2 and believes they've established their intention to challenge for the title.
Crouch pointed out Chelsea's attacking prowess:
This is going to be a fantastic match! Both teams are looking good. I really enjoy watching Joao Pedro. After the first match against Fulham, I thought he would score plenty this season. Pedro Neto is also looking sharp and creating chances. They have plenty of creative players in this team.
However, Crouch highlighted Chelsea's defensive frailties as a significant concern. The Blues have conceded five goals in their opening two matches.
Crouch added:
The only issue for Chelsea is their defence. I think they will continue to concede. I really like the signing of Emiliano Martinez; it's a tremendous acquisition. To get a World Cup champion and legitimate leader for just £7 million is incredible.
I do believe Chelsea will concede; Brighton managed to score three against them. But there should be plenty of goals in this match, and it will be interesting to watch.
Crouch has given his prediction for the derby:
Let me stir things up a bit and back Chelsea to win 3-2. I think they have already declared themselves as title contenders.
Arsenal started their title defence with two wins and have yet to concede a goal, while Chelsea have also picked up six points from two matches but have faced five goals against them.
