Chelsea secured an away victory against Everton, triumphing 2-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium. The Portuguese winger Pedro Neto emerged as the main star of the match, netting both goals.
He opened the scoring early in the second half after a clever interplay with Yorrel Hato, and capped off a stellar performance with a second goal late in the match, putting the result beyond doubt.
Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves praised Neto's contribution during his analysis on TNT Sports.
I think Morgan Rogers was outstanding, Cole Palmer was tremendous, and Moises Caicedo had a big impact, but the standout moments belonged to Pedro Neto. He is definitely the unsung hero of this Chelsea team.
Experts suggest that new Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has discovered the perfect role for the Portuguese winger. The Spaniard has deployed him wider on the flanks, giving Neto the space to build up speed and take on defenders one-on-one.
