15-Second Brief
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has stated that he is not fearful of dismissal amid the club's worst season start in 40 years. He remains confident in his abilities and highlighted the team's unity ahead of a crucial Champions League match against Como.

Michael Carrick enjoys full backing from the hierarchy at Manchester United, despite the team recording their worst season start in 40 years, winning just two out of ten matches.

The Red Devils are currently gearing up for a crucial Champions League away fixture against Italian side Como. The English side is stuck in a rut, unable to secure a win in their last six matches, but Carrick remains confident about his position.

I don’t need any guarantees. Everything is perfectly clear. I know my role, I know my responsibilities. I don’t need someone else to tell me when things are going well or when I need to do better. I am well aware of that. I understand the realities, and I have no problem with them. It’s all pretty straightforward. I’ve nothing more to add. I know we need to win football matches for everything to fall into place. That’s the beauty of it. We can do something about it.

Carrick further emphasised the unity present within the Old Trafford dressing room, stating that the players are fully behind him as head coach.

Since I returned, the players and staff have been giving everything they can. We've had some good matches. There have been games where we need to be better, and we can improve. We’ve made mistakes. But I must say, during the game at the weekend and for large parts of the match against Atletico, there was a lot of togetherness. There is a huge desire and determination to get better, a willingness to do it for one another, which is very important.

A victory over Como could significantly lift the team's spirits, as they currently sit in a disappointing 18th place in the Champions League table with just three points.
