In a captivating clash at Anfield during the second round of the Premier League, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest played to a 2-2 draw.
Nottingham Forest stunned the Reds by taking the lead not once, but twice, only for Liverpool to claw their way back into the match on both occasions.
The opening goal came in the 24th minute when Forest's Danilo Ndoje found the net, benefiting from a well-timed pass by captain Morgan Gibbs-White. Liverpool almost replied immediately, as Florian Wirtz netted a goal just eight minutes later, only for VAR to intervene and rule it out for offside.
