Leeds confirm signings of Melvyn Bard and Jean-Matteo Baoya

Leeds have officially confirmed the signing of two more players on the final day of the summer transfer window.

French left-back Melvyn Bard joins the club from Nice on a season-long loan for a fee of €1 million, with an option to buy for €5 million at the end of the campaign.

The squad has also benefitted from the addition of midfielder Jean-Matteo Baoya from Eintracht Frankfurt. His loan deal cost the club €2 million, and they could potentially make the move permanent for €23 million plus another €5 million in bonuses next summer.

So far this summer, Leeds have welcomed seven new players, with James Trafford being the most expensive, having initially been signed for £40 million.
