Liverpool's head coach Andoni Iraola has offered insights into the contract situation of midfielder Alexis McAllister.
In a recent statement attributed to Iraola, he acknowledged McAllister as a key player who deserves recognition for his contributions to the team.
"Alexis is a very important player for this team. His skill, intelligence, and dedication are clear to everyone. Players like him are hard to come by, and I believe he deserves the club's appreciation for everything he brings to the team," the quoted remarks read.
Iraola also emphasised that Liverpool should carefully evaluate the potential impact of losing such a crucial midfielder.
"We cannot let players like Alexis go without considering what we might lose," he stated.
Furthermore, the publication suggests that Iraola is hopeful for an agreement to be reached between the player and the club.
"I hope the club and Alexis can reach an agreement because retaining key players is essential for building a successful team. He deserves clarity regarding his future, and I sincerely hope we find the right solution," the comments concluded.
