15-Second Brief
Aston Villa's new signing Ibrahim Mbaye revealed he struggled with internal pressure at PSG due to the fierce competition with Dembele and Bradley Barcola.

Former PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye has candidly discussed his stint at the French giants. In a revealing chat with the YouTube channel Cheikh Footstyle, the Senegalese player admitted that he felt significant psychological strain while playing at the Parc des Princes.

According to Mbaye, much of the pressure came from himself as he desperately tried to compete against the club's star attackers:

Things at PSG didn't go as I had hoped. I took on an unreasonable weight of pressure. I was surrounded by extraordinary talents — Dembele, Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola, Goncalo Ramos... These are world-class forwards. I constantly told myself: 'I have to be better than them.'

Despite the immense pressure, the winger highlighted that training alongside such exceptional players was invaluable:

With such skilled players, you must always keep learning. The more you train and play alongside them, the quicker you start to grasp the intricacies of the game that you previously had no idea about.

This past summer, Ibrahim Mbaye officially completed his transfer from PSG to Aston Villa, marking a new chapter in his career.
