15-Second Brief
Folarin Balogun is keen to return to the Premier League and continue his career at Tottenham. According to TEAMtalk, Monaco is willing to let the American striker go for €50–60 million, but the potential transfer raises doubts within the Spurs camp.

Monaco striker Folarin Balogun is ready to join Tottenham. According to TEAMtalk, the American has given his consent for a possible transfer and is eager to return to the Premier League.

The Spurs are considered favourites to secure the 25-year-old forward, who is also being tracked by Newcastle, Galatasaray, and clubs from Saudi Arabia. Monaco is looking to receive between €50-60 million (£43-51 million) for Balogun.

However, John Wenham, who is close to Tottenham, is sceptical about the former Arsenal forward:

Balogun doesn't really convince me. His stats in Ligue 1 aren't impressive. Yes, he has scored in the Champions League, but such a transfer would feel somewhat disappointing.

To me, it would indicate that we've missed out on players who were of top-tier and second-tier quality. Honestly, I'm not even sure I rate Balogun above Richarlison.

Tottenham is also continuing negotiations for Cody Gakpo and Savinho, as strengthening their attacking options remains a priority ahead of the transfer window closing.
