Manchester City manager Enzo Mareska has reacted to Enzo Fernandes' comments after his move from Chelsea. The Argentine claimed he has always dreamed of being at a big club like City, which has ignited debate among the supporters of his previous side.
Fabrizio Romano shared a snippet from the press conference where Mareska was asked to comment on Fernandes' remark.
Mariksa stated:
In my view, he played for a big club — Chelsea — and now he has moved to another big club — Manchester City.
Thus, the City boss did not endorse the interpretation that Fernandes' words were a slight against Chelsea. After the transfer, the midfielder remarked:
I have always dreamt of being at a big club like Manchester City. This is a dream move for me. I am very happy.
Fernandes made the switch from Chelsea to Manchester City on transfer deadline day for £125 million. In his new team, the 25-year-old will be reuniting with Mareska.
