Edu Gaspar has left Nottingham Forest after his contract was terminated, following a difficult period at the club.

Edu Gaspar is no longer the head of football operations at Nottingham Forest. The former Arsenal sporting director's contract with the club was terminated last week, according to Sky Sports.

Edu joined Forest in the summer of 2025 as the global head of football operations, overseeing transfers, squad strategy, player development, and other football-related processes at the club.

However, the Brazilian has not been involved with the team in recent months. He has not been seen at matches since the home fixture against Liverpool on February 22, nor has he visited the training ground or stadium. In March, he was advised to stay away from the training facilities in light of uncertainties surrounding his future.

According to sources, Edu also did not play an active role in Nottingham Forest's last transfer window.
