Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya shared his emotions following the Gunners' narrow 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest in matchday seven of the Premier League.
The Spanish keeper praised his team's character and reflected on the decisive goal scored by Noni Madueke, assisted by Bukayo Saka.
We showed maturity and a huge desire. If we keep doing the right things, the ball will eventually find its way into the net. We had two 0-0 draws here in the last two years, so I think we displayed great character to snatch this result. After a few crosses from Bukayo, the ball ended up in the goal thanks to Noni.
He's a special player, and this is going to be a special goal for him, bringing victory at such a difficult ground against a tough team. I'm really pleased for him.
We came back really strong, especially after that tough defeat against Brighton and having 19 days without a match. The way we reacted, the way we played, how we bounced back, it’s just incredible.
I'm thrilled with the effort we put in every game. Of course, as always, there’s room for improvement, but we’re taking only the positives and are looking forward to the match on Wednesday.
