The 23-year-old Croatian attacking midfielder Martin Baturina has found himself at the centre of a transfer tussle involving English Premier League giants.
According to football insider Sasha Tavolieri, Newcastle United and Aston Villa each made official bids of €70m for the midfielder's services.
However, Como have responded with a firm rejection to both approaches. Head coach Cesc Fabregas and the club's hierarchy view the midfielder as a crucial and untouchable part of their current project, dismissing the prospect of his departure in the final days of the transfer window.
It has been reported that Como's minimum financial threshold to even consider negotiations stands at €80m. Nonetheless, the club's position is resolute: it is expected that the Croatian international will remain in Italy for the entirety of the upcoming season.
