Arsenal were forced to spend the night in Germany following their 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich. The unexpected stay was caused by stringent flight restrictions at Munich Airport.
Typically, the Gunners return to London immediately after their away matches in European competitions, arriving home early the following morning.
However, the local airport imposes a ban on flights from midnight until 5 AM. As the team bus left the Allianz Arena just after midnight, they found themselves unable to take off as planned.
Under Mikel Arteta's guidance, the squad stayed overnight at a hotel in accordance with their contingency plan. The players were not able to return home until Thursday afternoon.
They will get back to training on Friday ahead of their upcoming Premier League clash against Everton at home on Saturday.
