Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has expressed skepticism about Florian Wirtz's future at the club.
In an interview with GIVEMESPORT, the ex-footballer offered his insights on the German player's prospects.
I don't think Wirtz will make it at Liverpool. He seems to have lost all faith and confidence in his abilities. I don't believe he thinks he can succeed in the Premier League.
Hamann further pointed out that Wirtz's performances have not improved compared to the previous season, despite the manager's intention to deploy him in a central attacking role.
Florian Wirtz made a blockbuster move to the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen for a club record fee of £116 million. Since then, he has netted seven goals and provided 13 assists across 58 matches in all competitions. It’s worth noting that pundit Jamie Carragher has also regularly criticised the form of the German midfielder.
