London's Tottenham have claimed their first victory of the Premier League season. On Monday, the Spurs defeated Coventry 3-1 at their home ground, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
James Maddison opened the scoring with a stunning strike just 14 minutes into the match. This was Maddison's first start in over 536 days, highlighting a remarkable return to form. Early in the second half, Coventry's Jack Rudoni brought the game level, only for Omar Marmoush to restore Tottenham's lead shortly after. In stoppage time, Ben Davies sealed the victory with a third goal.
This result has lifted Tottenham out of the relegation zone, much to the relief of the fans. It's also worth noting the long-awaited return of Dejan Kulusevski, who graced the pitch for the first time in more than 500 days following a serious injury.
