Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi believes his side showcased better football in earlier games, despite their long-awaited win against Coventry by a score of 3-1.
In an interview with Sky Sports, the Italian tactician expressed his delight at the result but admitted that Spurs were not at their best against Frank Lampard's side.
We are very pleased with the result. To be honest, I think we played much better in other matches, such as in the first half against Aston Villa and the first half against Everton.
Coventry's low defensive block made things really difficult for us. My players didn’t create as many dangerous chances as we have in recent matches.
This crucial victory allowed the London club to finally escape the relegation zone in the Premier League.
