Manchester City has announced the signing of midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea. The 25-year-old Argentine made 170 appearances for the London club, scored 31 goals, and won two trophies.

Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez has officially signed for Manchester City on a permanent basis.

The 25-year-old had been with Chelsea since January 2022, following his move from Portuguese side Benfica. During his three and a half years at Stamford Bridge, the midfielder made 170 appearances across all competitions, scoring 31 goals.

While with the London club, Fernandez celebrated successes in the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup. Chelsea's official website thanked the midfielder for his contributions and wished him the best in his future career.

Earlier reports indicated that Chelsea would receive a record fee of £125 million for Fernandez, matching the previous transfer record held by Liverpool when they signed Alexander Isak from Newcastle last year.
