Following the departure of Enzo Fernandez, Chelsea are deliberating their approach in the transfer market. The club's hierarchy, alongside Xabi Alonso, is deciding whether to secure a new midfielder now or postpone until January.
Insider Fabrizio Romano has indicated:
Chelsea are currently in talks with Xabi Alonso about their next steps: whether to attempt to sign a player immediately or possibly revisit the issue in January. Even offers of €55 million would be insufficient for Lamina Kamara.
According to Romano, Chelsea have also made inquiries regarding a potential deal for Lucas Bergvall, but Tottenham are keen to retain the Swedish midfielder.
As a result, after selling Fernandez for a whopping £125 million, the Blues have yet to determine if they will seek a replacement before the transfer window closes.
