Liverpool have joined the race for the signature of Stuttgart winger Jamie Leveling. The English club is closely monitoring the 25-year-old talent.
According to journalist Patrick Berger from Sky Sport Germany, the Bundesliga side has already rejected an official bid from Roma.
The Italian club had attempted to secure the German international on a loan deal with an obligation to buy. The total package exceeded €40 million, which included €5 million for the loan itself.
Despite the rejection, Roma is persisting in their efforts to sign the attacking midfielder and has prepared an enticing five-year contract for him.
However, the Italians now face stiff competition. In addition to Liverpool, Everton is also monitoring Leveling’s situation.
The player has also attracted interest from Italian giants Inter Milan in the past.
