The Lewis family, principal owners of Tottenham, have injected another £120 million into the club. This latest funding, as reported by The Athletic, brings the total investment from the owners in the past year to £320 million.
The financial boost has been facilitated through the purchase of additional shares in ENIC, which holds an 88.3% stake in Tottenham.
The fresh cash was essential to support an aggressive summer transfer campaign. The North London club secured two high-profile signings: Sandro Tonali's potential move could set them back £100 million, while Mateus Fernandes is expected to cost around £85 million.
This latest round of funding has diluted the influence of minority shareholders. Daniel Levy, who still holds a substantial share in ENIC, faces further dilution after opting out of contributing his own funds during the previous £100 million round.
Since May 2022, direct cash injections from the owners into Tottenham's equity have exceeded £450 million.
