Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola compared transfer dealings at his current club with his time at Bournemouth, noting that while financial power and player quality differ, patience remains essential.

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has drawn a fascinating comparison between the transfer activities at Anfield and his earlier tenure at Bournemouth.

According to the Spanish coach, the primary distinction lies in the financial clout and the calibre of players available. However, Iraola emphasised that the challenges faced during negotiations tend to remain constant.

"The funds and player levels are likely different, but the issues are usually the same. There are certain deals you simply can’t close right away; you have to be patient and let things develop. You might find yourself saying, 'Let’s think this is possible.' It may not be today, but it might become achievable later, and as a coach, you need to exhibit that patience," Iraola stated.

The Reds' boss added that experience in transfer dealings builds over time, stressing that the key objective is to assemble a well-rounded squad before the season kicks off.

"You learn from experience. The first summer windows can be particularly challenging because you want your team ready to hit the ground running. Ultimately, my primary concern is that when the market closes, we’re satisfied with the squad we have," he concluded.
