Head coach Enzo Maresca is expecting Manchester City to make a few more signings ahead of the transfer deadline on September 1. Changes to the squad are on the horizon.
The Italian manager confirmed that three academy graduates will remain with the first team after impressing during the pre-season tour.
“Caden Breweait, Floyd Samba, and Ryan Makaydu will be with us. We need around 20 players plus these three energetic lads. We're happy,” said Maresca.
The City boss added that he is not concerned about the ongoing squad adjustments.
“I think this is a similar situation for most clubs and fans. We are waiting to make some moves. It’s typical during the transfer window to wait until the last week because all clubs are trying to hold onto their players until the very end, so this is normal,” the coach stated.
“I’m not worried about it. Once the transfer window closes and the full squad is here, the situation will definitely change,” he concluded.
