Manchester City manager Enzo Mareska is confident that the club will find a suitable replacement for Rodri.
The Spanish midfielder has left the team after seven years at the Etihad Stadium, recently joining Barcelona following his triumph at the 2024 Ballon d'Or.
However, Mareska believes that the club has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to smoothly transition after the departure of legendary players. He pointed out that Rodri himself once replaced Fernandinho.
“Trying to find the new Rodri... When Rodri arrived here, he hadn't won the Ballon d'Or, the Champions League, or the Club World Cup. When he joined the club, he achieved so much important success. Now our goal is to find the next Rodri. Just last night, I thought about how when David Silva was here, people were worried, and then Kevin De Bruyne came along. When Aguero was here, there were concerns, and then Erling arrived. Fernandinho? Rodri came in. It's all about this. When they leave, we need to bring in the next one. Just last night I thought about it; it's all part of the transition, it’s not a problem — just starting anew and trying again,” said the Italian manager.
