Dastan Satpayev is set to make a temporary return to Chelsea from Burnley, where he has been on loan this season. As reported by Kazakh outlet Asnews, the 18-year-old forward will head back to London for rehab after sustaining an injury.
Satpayev picked up the injury during a Championship match against Middlesbrough on 2 September. The Kazakh striker started the game but was forced to leave after 81 minutes, with the match finishing 1-1.
Burnley manager Nicky Hyen confirmed after the team's next game that the player will be sidelined for a few weeks. Sources indicate that he is dealing with a muscle injury in the hamstring area.
It's important to note that Satpayev's loan agreement with Burnley remains intact. Following his recovery, he is expected to return to the squad and continue the season under Nicky Hyen's management.
Satpayev joined Burnley in August on a season-long loan from Chelsea. The London club officially confirmed his transfer from Kairat, stating that the forward will spend the 2026/27 campaign at Turf Moor.
During his time at Burnley, Satpayev has featured in three Championship matches, starting twice, and has accumulated a total of 204 minutes of game time in the league.
