Gavi will not leave Barcelona in January despite growing interest from leading European clubs. The 22-year-old midfielder's agent, Ivan de la Pena, says he is not holding talks with any potential buyers.
Gavi has had considerably less playing time under Hansi Flick this season.
He has played just 211 minutes out of a possible 1,350 in all competitions and has been an unused substitute in five La Liga matches.
Competition in midfield has intensified following Marc Bernal's impressive performances, Rodri's summer move from Manchester City and Frenkie de Jong's return.
Against that backdrop, reports have emerged of interest from Bayern Munich, Napoli and leading Premier League clubs. Chelsea and Manchester United are among those said to be monitoring the situation.
However, the player's agent categorically ruled out a January departure:
I haven't held talks with anyone.
Gavi is staying at Barcelona.
The midfielder is therefore likely to remain in Catalonia through the next transfer window, despite his significantly reduced role in the team.
Gavi has suffered injuries on several occasions in recent years, and his estimated value has fallen considerably, from a peak of €122 million in 2024 to €31.5 million.
English clubs have maintained an interest in him for more than one season.
Chelsea and Manchester United continue to monitor the situation, but there are currently no signs of a January deal being prepared.
