William Gallas has advised Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave Real Madrid, while TEAMtalk reports that several clubs are monitoring the defender.

Real Madrid defender Trent Alexander-Arnold could leave the club because of a lack of playing time. Former Arsenal player William Gallas believes the Englishman should change clubs and named Bayern Munich as one of the best options.

The 28-year-old defender has started just four of 11 La Liga matches under Jose Mourinho. He faces competition from Federico Valverde and Denzel Dumfries.

Speaking to SeatPick, Gallas said:

I think Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave now because he hasn't played many games for Real Madrid. He went there because it was his dream. When Real Madrid come calling, it's very difficult to say no.

He was magnificent at Liverpool. We knew that his main strength wasn't defending, but counter-attacks, crosses and assists. Now the question is which club can offer him a similar system, because one-on-one he is far from the best defender in the world. We know that.

So he needs to find a team that will allow him to play on the counter more often and play as he did at Liverpool. Maybe Arsenal, Chelsea or even Manchester United?

Gallas also suggested the Englishman could move to Bayern Munich, where his compatriot Harry Kane plays:

I don't know. Perhaps Bayern Munich can offer him those conditions because he has the qualities needed. What he did at Liverpool was simply magnificent.

We want to see him like that again, with those lovely forward passes. We'll see what happens.

According to TEAMtalk insider Graeme Bailey, several leading clubs are monitoring the situation:

As far as we know, several clubs are closely watching how things develop. Among them are Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. Bayern Munich, currently managed by Vincent Kompany, are also monitoring the situation.

Real Madrid are not actively trying to get rid of Alexander-Arnold, and sources say the player himself is happy at the club. However, we understand that Madrid are prepared to consider a reasonable offer in the future if his situation does not improve.
