Fabrizio Romano reports that Luke Shaw is highly likely to leave Manchester United in summer 2027 and could depart as a free agent.

Manchester United plan to part ways with defender Luke Shaw at the end of the current season. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 31-year-old Englishman, who has been at the club since 2014, is highly likely to leave Old Trafford in summer 2027.

Shaw joined United from Southampton for £30 million and has made 330 appearances, scoring five goals and providing 31 assists. However, regular injuries continue to hamper the defender, and his contract expires in June, meaning he could leave as a free agent.

This season, Michael Carrick has had to use Diogo Dalot and Ayden Heaven on the left side of defence because there is no suitable replacement for the injured Shaw. If the Englishman leaves, Manchester United may need to sign two left-backs. No final decision on the veteran's future has yet been announced.
