Newcastle are interested in 21-year-old Middlesbrough striker Will Lankshear. According to talkSPORT, they are considering signing the forward, who has scored 13 goals in 13 Championship matches this season.
Lankshear joined Middlesbrough from Tottenham last summer, having made just six first-team appearances for Spurs. He previously spent time on loan at Oxford United, scoring 12 goals in all competitions. He has already scored 15 goals in 16 matches this season.
Newcastle are looking to strengthen their attack after selling Alexander Isak to Liverpool. Alongside Lankshear, they are considering the more experienced Ivan Toney. However, Middlesbrough, who are fighting for promotion, are unlikely to want to part with their top scorer as early as January.
