Kai Havertz: ‘90 per cent of my goal against Liverpool belongs to Declan Rice’

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has commented on his winning goal against Liverpool (0-1) in the Premier League.

Speaking on Sky Sports, the German praised teammate Declan Rice for the assist that led to his goal.

I think 90 per cent of the goal belongs to this man. I think we all know about his right foot. And today, he was there. A brilliant run and a perfect cross. For me, it was an easy finish. And as I said, I think this goal definitely belongs to him.

The striker also reflected on the team’s defensive performance against the pressure from the Merseysiders.

As Declan said, we all stick together and defended together. Of course, there were tough moments. But we overcame them, and I think that is the most important thing.
