Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso has confirmed that Moises Caicedo will miss Saturday's Premier League match against Hull City, with the club opting not to risk the midfielder's fitness.
Alonso stated:
Moises? Not yet. We'll see if he's fit for the Brentford match, but right now, we don’t want to take any risks. He’s not ready.
Marco Palestra, Emmanuel Emega, and Jordan Henderson will also be absent from the upcoming fixture.
When asked about potential return dates for Henderson and Emega, Alonso replied:
Not tomorrow. We hope they can play against Brentford; we’ll see. It’s possible their situation remains unchanged into next week.
Meanwhile, Romeo Lavia is fit and ready to go.
