London's Chelsea have nearly wrapped up negotiations with Spanish club Rayo Vallecano for the transfer of 28-year-old left-back Pep Chavarria.
According to esteemed insider David Ornstein from The Athletic, the clubs are in the final stages of agreeing on the deal. Chelsea have already fully settled the terms of the personal contract with the Spanish player. In the near future, Rayo Vallecano officials will grant the player official permission to undergo a medical examination.
Negotiations between representatives of both teams have been highly constructive, and the parties expect to finalise the deal very soon.
