Tottenham are among several clubs monitoring Lens centre-back Ismaelo Ganiou, according to TeamTalk. The defender is 20 years old.
The report says scouts from Tottenham, Newcastle, Fulham and Brentford have watched Ganiou during 2026. Chelsea owners BlueCo, City Football Group, Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Monaco, Atalanta, Como, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also monitoring his situation. Lens handed the defender a new four-year contract last summer following his successful first-team debut.
Ganiou has been compared in the media to Raphael Varane because of his similar style: his pace, reliability in duels and elegance when playing out from defence. At international level, Ganiou represented Burkina Faso before switching to France's youth team. He has also been considered as a candidate for the senior national team.
