Brighton chief executive Paul Barber declined to comment on negotiations with Manchester United regarding Carlos Baleba. The Manchester club has offered more than €70 million and is preparing a new bid. The clubs continue to discuss the transfer.

Brighton's chief executive Paul Barber has refused to comment on the potential move of Carlos Baleba to Manchester United. Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing.

The Old Trafford side has already submitted an official offer exceeding €70 million, with an additional €6 million in bonuses. However, Brighton has yet to accept these terms.

Manchester United are growing increasingly confident that an agreement will be reached and are expected to return with an improved offer.

“This isn’t something I can discuss right now. At this time of year, we will always receive offers for our players. Currently, there’s not much to say about Carlos other than he’s an extremely talented young midfielder who has been performing excellently for us and has attracted interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world for a couple of years now. So let’s see where we end up,” Barber stated.
